Until about fifteen years ago, … _ _ _ … ,?
Maybe it was fourteen years ago, at about the time I left home.
My sister lost her life eight years ago in a senseless attack.
Anyway, my mom died three years ago and since then nothing has been the same.
Last week my dad decided to sell the family home and everything in it.
I’d be willing to leave my gutless boyfriend and return home.
I’m really worried about my dad.
Is that normal behaviour for a widower?
Doesn’t my say in what was our home counts?
Family is family.

Maybe he just wants to move on, and doesn’t really want to be reminded of all the good times because, now that they’re over, it only brings him pain.

Just try to stay close to him (and continue to show him that you care), but become his only thing in the world - you’re there to support him, not carry him. That’s what family is for.

You both are going through so much pain and I will pray for you both. It IS normal behavior for a widower or anyone who has lost someone dear to them. Holding onto those things can make it harder to cope with the pain. I hope you two can talk things out. God Bless

he probably wants to move on. he should have asked you of course, but when you’ve lost ppl you love that much, you’re not always in your senses. support him, show him that youre there and that he’s not the only one feeling the pain. good luck
