Sweet sixteen, help please?
Sweet sixteen, help please?
Okay so i’ll be turning sixteen in September.
I know it’s kinda far away. Actually really far away.
But i want to start planning it noww.
Anyways, i have some questions. . .just answer as many as
you can, or want to.
And i want my sweet sixteen to be formal.
1. How would i tell everyone i want the party to be formal.
Like i would put it on the invitation, but how would i word it?
2. Where are some good places to have a sweet sixteen?
3. How many people is enough people?
4. How long should the party be?
5. What all could i have to do? I’m gonna have a dj. . .but would dancing all night
be a little boring? what else could i have at my party, so everyone wouldn’t have to
dance all night?
6. What kind of food should i have there? (actual like dinner food, or just a bunch of snacks?)
7. My friends birthday is 3 days before mine, and we were wanting to have our party
together, is that a good idea?
8. If you already had your sweet sixteen, tell me what you did for it.
9. If you havn’t had your sweet sixteen yet, tell me what you want to do for it.
10. Tell me any extra stuff that would help me out.
and should i invite some of my family?
i think i know what i’m gonna do.
but i want to know what you think too.
Thanks (:

1. Make some fancy invitations. They could be on black pieces of paper (Folded in half), with lace trimming, that has your name on the front in colored cursive letters.
The wording could be very simple. Just print the essentials.
Ex: Date: September 1, 2010
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: My House (Etc.)
Come Dressed & Ready To Party!
(Cheesy, but use the above as an example.)
2. You could host it at a local country club party room if available. If not, there are always fancy golf courses that usually have party rooms ready to rent.
3. 15 - 20.
4. 4 - 5 hours.
5. Raffle games, karaoke.
6. Fruit platters, cheese and crackers, sushi.
7. No.
8. Not yet (: In 4 months.
9. Just a simple family party. I’m not too big on elaborate planning. It takes more work than it’s worth.
10. Have party favors, and additional activities as a backup.
Hope I helped.

1. put it in the invitation
2. maybe a a community center or a dinner hall
3.however many you want to feed
4.3 or 4 hours
5. have tables set up so people can sit and eat (sorry lame answer but kinda hard to answer)
6. if it’s formal then probably dinner foods
7. that’d be fun but make sure you mention it in an invitation
8.
9. I want to have a big party with music dancing
10. make sure that you invite people in at least a week or 2 advance.
Have fun!!!

1. this is a formal event
2.nice hotels sometimes have big ball rooms that you can rent, also if you want this to be huge and have alot of money then i sogest a yaught.
3. uh depends on what size party you want to have and how many people you know.
4.depends on what your parents are like, mine would go way into the am.
5.umm theres drinking games if you want to drink, like just partying all night is good enough haha.
6. like dinner food at first then if the party is long probably snacks later people can get verry hungrey.
7.ummmm not really yall may fight over decorations, timing, where its gonna be ect.
8.i will be having one in april
9. i dont have much money to spend so i may have 50 people come to my house and have a pig picking.
10. plans, calling ahead for reservations ect.

1. Write black-tie on the invites, or just write formal.
2. A hotel ballroom
3. Just invite all your close friends and family, don’t make it too many people.
4. The party should be a few hours, think about like prom.
5. Have dancing, some kind of game or way to pass the time, make sure to include slow songs.
6. actually serve dinner
7. I don’t think it is a good idea, the star of a sweet sixteen is supposed to have the entire spotlight to herself, it’s your special night.
8. Sorry, i haven’t had a sweet sixteen yet.
9. It’s too far away to think about, but i don’t think i will have a sweet sixteen or a quinceanera.
10. make sure to get every genre of music so everybody has a song they like to dance to, and plenty of food.

1. you would put it on the invitation something like "black tie event" maybe if u want a black tie or "dress in your best attire" or something like that
2. a resturant with a big room those are usally good places but my community has like a recreation place where they have this big room with like a small kitchen and a boys and girls bathroom maybe something like that and you rent it for a certain time
3. you can never have too much (: (unless they dont fit haha) but i say 50-100 if approprite if ur inviting your family
4. as long as you want, if u want to serve dinner than like 5-10 maybe if u dont then like 7-11 or 12
or you could have like an afternoon party from like 2-6 or 7
5.well usally you just have like tables out and a dj. maybe u could have like an award thing where u give all your friends an award like "best hair" or "cutest laugh" ect. be creative
6. well it depends what time your party is at, it is it 7-11 then just snacks and stuff if its 2-6 serve like lunch if its 5-10 serve dinner (maybe pasta?)
7. it could be a good idea, it could save alot of money but u guy’s have to have the same ideas
9. i want mine to be like an alice in wonderland theme and have like a really long table with everyone sitting there during dinner and afterward like cookies that say "bite me" or "eat me" and i was going to have an unbirthday cake and everything and a light blue dress (: and at the entrence i was going to put something that looked like a bunny hole so ur like enter the mad hatters house/place haha and on the invitation i was going to put "dont be late for this very important date" (:
10. if u want to have a themed party than search it on google that really helps!
for the family i think u should have like "two parties" kinda where the family come at like 2-5 and friends come at 6-10 and if ur family wants to stay for the "friends" party they can
good luck (:

1. Tell them in their invitations. Say you’re invited to a formal sweet 16 or something like the attire will be formal.
2. ugh I dunno. lol
3. How many friends do you have? Small and intimate can be fun, but if you have room a lot of guests could be cool too. Make sure all of your guests get along and that there isn’t any people who could cause lots of drama like girls who like boys a little too much or a couple who has been fighting or boys who like to start sh*t
4. As long as you want silly
5. I love dancing and in high school everyone showed up for the dances and we never wanted to go home. So yes have A LOT of people then. Have food and drinks of course. Maybe if you have guitar hero or something set that up.
6. If a lot of people no dinner food. If small amount first have them over for dinner and then start the dancing and what not. Snacks are always a good idea though.
7. Great idea! That way you two won’t have to "compete" and your friends can come to both of them instead of just being able to make it to one.
8. I went to downtown Chicago with my b/f, parents, sis and her b/f, bro and his friend.

woot go Chicago
9. ——-
10. Read what i wrote
Family: maybe cousins and whoever is close to your age, but make sure they won’t be uncomfortable with your friends. Or have aunts and uncles but maybe for dinner only.
