The 2 groups of feminist? Do they get along with one another?
I realized a while ago, that there are 2 distinct feminist groups. The first is the old nasty hag, who has never been married, is a ball-breaking b*tch, and does not shower, ever. She hates men with a passion and constantly brings up the fact that she was raped as a young child by her father, and therefore every single man is a rapist. She thinks make-up is a conspiracy against women. (My high school English teacher, all of that is true.)
Then there is the other group of feminists who wear deodorant and actually like being around guys every once in a while and can be fun to be around. (Rachel Maddow style)
I was wondering if these factions like being around one another?
No, I’m a liberal feminist, and I hate all other types of feminists and think that they’re wrong. People don’t realise how much of a split in feminist theory there is - it’s like asking how much Americans hate communists (a lot).
Socialist / dual-systems feminists are stupid, don’t understand feminist theory, try and combine them all and get it all wrong.
Marxist feminists are quite interesting but they hate capitalism and don’t believe it can do any good - whereas I think it’s a lot better than the other systems. They also have a particularly structural way of looking at people that means that I, a successful working class woman without children, has no place in their system, since I am a class traitor, and a non-productive woman who is living off the surplus profit provided by other people’s children.
Radical feminists are biological reductionists who think that women are naturally passive, peace-loving, baby-making and any other vomit-inducing stereotype you want to attach to women. As far as I’m concerned this is just simple sexism and I’ve no time for it - it sounds exactly like the rubbish Rousseau was peddling in the 18th century to try and deny women human rights.
Lesbian separatists - don’t even get me started - I am straight, I like men, no, a woman is not going to satisy me, no I do not want to be a political lesbian, no I do not care what you think about what goes on in my bedroom. The personal is personal.
Post-modern feminists - when you believe that nothing is true and everything is real, that’s a bit of a cop out, theory wise. It basically means you can agree or disagree with anything you feel like, and no-one can contradict you. I can’t stand all this modern relativism and ‘don’t label me’ ‘don’t be judgemental’ attitude - if your ancestors had thought like that, we wouldn’t have human rights at all.
Black feminism - yes, I get that black women have problems white women don’t, yes I get that sometimes you need the safety of traditional family and community relations in order to act as a power base for your struggle against racism - but that doesn’t mean your problems with sexism don’t exist, and it doesn’t mean white feminists weren’t right about a lot of the male / female stuff. I really hate that women who fought for all other women to have rights are called racist because the problems of black women didn’t occur to them. Equality is not racist, however limited that theory may have been.

I think that’s about it for now. But yes, other feminists p*ss me off. I would rather hang out with deluded anti feminists who get all their information off youtube and think the Illuminati is secretly controlling the money supply than listen to any of that sh*t.
This is also why it amuses me when anti-feminists think all feminists think the same, or that we have a ‘leader’. Feminists have their own strongly held political beliefs just like everybody else

There are more than 2 groups. Most of them hate each other too.
There should be a TV show about it! lol

Sometimes people can form friendships in spite of strong differences in outlook and attitude. I have friends of various political stripes, though they all have reasonable hygiene and aren’t big time haters. At least not around me.
I’d be much more inclined to hang with Rachel Maddow. Actually, I’d like to do a whole lot more than hang out but that’s another topic.

You are incorrect feminism is very diverse with many diff groups. Your high school teacher is wrong. No feminist ever stated all men were rapists, it was spoken by a fictional charachter in a book thirty years ago. Duh!

The first type is actually a radical feminist, who hates all men.
The second type is the dictionary definition of a feminist, who believes that men and women deserve to have equal rights and opportunities.

These groupings are simply your opinion of what a feminist is
However there are actually 4 types of feminists in western society:
Laura Mulvey Feminists- who believe that women are most seem as sexually objects to men.
Liberal Feminists- who believe its wrong for the public to believe women as passive little girls who need protection by men.
Socialist Feminists- who believe the representation of a "traditional housewife" is wrong and should be seen as equal professionals as men
and finally Post Feminists- Who believe that women are as complex as men and should be valued equally.
I think Liberal and Social would get along as their both striving for a positive and realistic representation of women in society. I don’t think the rest would get on with Post Feminists as they often see the other types of feminists as overexaggerating and not looking at individual women and how every woman should be treated as deep complex beings.

There are much more than just two groups. You haven’t even mentioned those who fit into those categories and don’t even KNOW they are feminists. There is such a thing as a hot chick, who DENIES she is a feminist and they are some of the sickest / toxic examples out there.
American women have been born and raised in the corrosive negative world of feminism. They can’t help look at the world like a feminist and thinking like one. Even against their own will.
A 6 year old girl in the Disney Movie "ENCHANTED" said "Men only want one thing" and she had NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS SAYING. She even said so herself!! This is feminist "men are all pigs" pounded into the minds of young girls before they are women at all.
By the time the Average American girl is 8 she already believes:
