Not really. I think most of Christian America backs Jewish Israel because World War II is still recent enough that many Americans had living relatives who either fought to help stop the Holocaust, or else knew someone who did.

My own grandfather, for instance, was a soldier in World War II, and my stepfather was the son of a Jewish couple who survived the Holocaust… so as a rule, America tends to have a big soft spot for Israel and feel protective of it because it cost us a lot of sweat, blood, and tears to help create it in the first place.

Think of America as an overprotective big brother. Like members of any family, we have frequent spats with one another (believe it or not, because it may not get advertised to the rest of the world, but the disputes between Israeli leadership and American leadership make the news in both countries, especially over Palestine), but we always take up for each other when someone else attacks us.

And honestly, the rest of the Middle East does nothing to ingratiate themselves to us with their constant vitriol and America bashing (as if we somehow seem to give a $#!+ if the rest of the world hates us).

You also have to bear in mind what a bitter pill the Holocaust was for America to swallow. Our society had a rather blase attitude toward anti-Semitism up to that point, and we didn’t really want to get involved in another World War because we didn’t think it was really our business, so we sat a lot of the war out and let things spiral out of control much more than they probably would have if we had joined our allies early on when they first requested our help (so there is also that undercurrent of "a lot of this was our fault for failing to act" and being overly cautious rather than make the same mistake again).
